God is faithful

The Kisers

God continues to meet all our needs in very special ways. The head of our local milk company was impressed with what he saw and heard about the ministry of the Ranch. He ordered a route manager to deliver eight gallons of fresh milk three times per week to the Ranch without charge. You can imagine the benefit to the health of our kids! At this time we have 27 kids at the Ranch, mostly boys with three girls and the staff. God is faithful. It is our deepest prayer that we will never have to turn any needy child away. At this time about one-third of the Ranch kids and staff are sponsored. If you would like to become a sponsor or know someone that desires to have a profound physical and spiritual affect on the life of one rescued from a hopeless situation, you can email us at kiserministries@yahoo.com.mx and we’ll share with you all the details. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue this part of our over-all ministry here in the Baja, Mexico. May God richly bless you, is our prayer.

PRAISE GOD WITH US:
We got word that New Tribes Mission Australia has been approved to sponsor us into their country! Our visa paperwork has all been sent to Washington , DC (it’s been in Sydney , Australia , for approved sponsorship).

PRAY WITH US:

For a gracious ‘case worker’ that will move our papers quickly forward. We’ve been told it will take a minimum of 4 weeks for our visas to be approved, possibly longer. As of last Thursday, all our visa paperwork and passports were received at the Australian Embassy in DC.

Thanks a bunch for standing with us these days. I have been blessed these days reading through the Psalms. The latest one was Psalm 111. “I will praise the Lord with my whole heart….the works of the Lord are great…His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever. He has made his wonderful works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.”

Blessed by Him,

Dear loved ones at Bell Gardens Baptist,

You know how much we need and appreciate our home church but we must tell you in print so we don't forget.

We finished the last day of school programs yesterday so now can concentrate on preparing for summer camps.

A local lady who married and moved off to Lexington started a business that did real well. Her husband passed away and she wanted to help underprivileged children here in her home area. Last year she paid for 150 kids to come to Youth Haven Bible Camp. This year she plans to send over 300. She includes a sleeping bag, toiletries, and a $20.00 camp store card for each. It thrills us to see mountain people assisting their own. Pray that these kids will accept Christ as Savior while at camp.

June 6th, I will be 79 and I am in better health than I've been in for years. Thanks for your prayers. We anticipate traveling to the schools for at least two more years then we'll ask God to direct our future ministry.

We will serve here as you pray there.

Love in Christ,

Our move

To our Friends at Bell Gardens Baptist Church,

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and generous financial support.

The Sunday that Richard announced we would be leaving [to a church in the Spokane area] a woman from church came up to me with tears in her eyes telling me how thankful she was for Richard meeting with her husband. God used this time for her husband to recommit his life to the Lord and his desire to lead their family as a spiritual leader of the family.

We thank the Lord for using us as His servants.

Pray for our move on July 1, 2008.

We thank and appreciate all of you.

Love,

Looking Back, Looking Forward

Thirty years ago this month I graduated from New Tribes Missionary Training and began preparing to serve in the Philippines. I was with New Tribes for twenty four years; the last ten years at their Headquarters in Florida. Six years ago this month I began looking for another ministry as health problems forced me to leave New Tribes Mission. After a school year at a Navajo school (Immanuel Mission) teaching art, I began to look for God's next assignment. Later that summer I began ministering to International ladies. I have now been doing that for nearly five years. Three years ago this month I moved to Tucson, Arizona. I thank Him for all these blessings in my life.

The Lord has been teaching me my need to look forward. When I first left New Tribes 6 years ago I was in a situation with limited mail delivery, no e–mail, and a phone that was shared with many people. These circumstances made me feel my contact with New Tribes and my local church in Florida was cut off. To me it was like they had all died in some tragic event. While it is natural for relationships to fade after you move away I have grieved for years over that loss as they were like family to me. I think I idealized New Tribes and my church there, so found it hard to have deep respect for other leaders I have been under since then. This has been wrong in my life. I have come to the place of realizing this and am seeking to put myself under those over me on a deeper level. James 5:16 says "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." I am believing the Lord to answer the prayer of my leaders for me in giving me greater health. After serving with teams all those years I have been also been struggling the last five years with working alone in ministry. I am hoping I can deepen my relationships with people in my local church, or that God has some other answer for this need. I do enjoy and feel well suited for the ministry I am doing.

Susan has finished the semester with flying colors; she received an A grade in three of her classes. She is not sure yet if she will get A or B in her other class. This summer she is taking two Biology classes. Harry will be working on various projects to improve his English. Harry hurt his foot on a hiking trip. I was able to take them to Urgent Care. He had to wear a special boot for awhile but is now walking without it. Susan's husband is visiting again from China but will be leaving in a few days. I hope Susan and Harry and I can go to a park together before she starts class again May 27th.

Nam Hee continues to be interested in God's Word, but this last week she was too distracted for a lesson as both of her girls were home. Michiyo is still in Japan.

I am enjoying teaching so much that I have decided for now to concentrate on the visuals and notes I need for teaching rather than fully written out lessons. This way I can get more teaching experience. It would be nice to someday have complete lessons I could hand to someone to read, but for now I will concentrate on the notes.

Dear Brethren,

"Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints" (Philemon 7).

PRAISES

  • Our Lord helped Sergio to preach the Word at the gathering of the churches of the north on May 1rst. Many gave testimony of the Lord speaking to their hearts.
  • There has been some improvement in the condition of the sister affected by her involvement in "alternative" medicine.
  • Our Lord's faithful provision for every need through the sacrificial giving of many.
  • Our Lord's protection on Noelia, a young lady from our church in Santander. A careless driver came close to run her over.
  • Our Lord's protection on us through many miles on the highways every day.

PRAYERS

  • For Sergio's teaching at a youth camp in July.
  • For Sergio's teaching of Bible Doctrines at Santander (Angels, Demons and Satan), Vitoria (Christ), Baracaldo (Holy Spirit).
  • For the baptism this summer of Belen, Daniel, Elisa and David.
  • For Amisadday. She is planning a trip to the States in June to dispose of all her scattered belongings in preparation for her wedding to Joel in October. That our Lord may protect and help her in many small decisions.
  • For Zuri's delivery the middle of July and Miriam's trip to be with her.
  • For wisdom to lead the church in Santander toward its consolidation.
  • For the salvation of Edu, Christian, Guille, Lucrecia, Antonio, Mar, Mercedes, Enrique, Nino, Chelo.

Thank you for your love toward our Savior, your encouragement toward His servants, your giving toward the furthering of the Gospel.
