Seven Sayings of Christ on the Cross

“Father, forgive them”. Luke 23:33-34. What were the last words Jesus spoke before his death? There were seven “words” each full of significant meaning. This first last word was a prayer. February 19, 2006.

“With Me, in Paradise”. Luke 23:39-45. “The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain…” which flows with the blood of Jesus Christ. Another thief refused to see his helplessness in saving himself. How do you see yourself? February 22, 2006.

“I Thirst”. John 19:28. From the cross Jesus cried “I thirst,” expressing the most basic of human needs. In that cry, He was again identifying Himself with humanity. On the cross, He offered Himself as the only One who can satisfy our thirst. March 19, 2006.
