"The Christian life isn't difficult—it is impossible. If we don't know that, we will try to do things ourselves. Faith is not necessary when we think we can do it ourselves. Faith comes along when we realize that we cannot do it on our own." —Joseph Garlingen
Answers to Prayer
“O Thou Giving God,
Every time I exercise any grace renewedly
I am renewedly indebted to thee,
The God of all grace, for special assistance.
How easily we misunderstand familiar Scripture passages. "Lord, teach us to pray." The question the disciples asked is far different than we have often heard. Thank You, Lord, for clear instruction and providing for our most basic need!
We got good news Sunday night! Vera Knight went home from the rehabilitation hospital a week ago Friday! She is "home" with her daughter and son-in-law! She is using a walker to steady her walk and not giving up!!
Requests for Prayer
Very little, but some press time was given to the use of robotic equipment in place of humans for the most dangerous responsibilities. Still, acts of terrorism will focus on eliminating man (such as the helicopter that crashed this week near the African continent, killing all). Continue to pray for our troops.

I would like to ask that you begin praying for Rocio Garcia (Spanish congregation) and Jayson Jun (Korean congregation). Both attend UCLA. Both are involved in the church here and with a Christian group at the school called InterVarsity. As of right now, both are planning to work this Summer in evangelism projects (they will each tell us more later about where and what they will be doing). Part of the requirement is to raise both their financial support as well as prayer support.
Mildred Watson asks prayer for another lady named Elizabeth. A member of her family as of Wednesday had been missing for a couple of days. Would you pray this person is found, safe and sound?
Donna Rigsby (along with John, Kerry, and the boys) are in Tucson this week, visiting Mrs. Duncan and family. You better pray Pastor Rigsby survives!
Who among your family and friends is yet not saved? Ask God to extend His grace and turn their desire toward Him.
It is reported that all of the Venezuelan New Tribes Missionaries are out of their tribal locations (that government mandated deadline was today). Pray as the missionaries and the tribes (especially the believers) discover the next step of God's will.
May we rejoice or pray with you? Others will intercede with you on your behalf before the throne of grace.

Read the Bible
Our Bible reading plan is simple—one chapter a day Matthew through Acts (a total of 117 chapters in 120 days). Want more? It would be good to review what we read in January: Psalms and Proverbs. The additional reading is also provided in this downloadable document. What about the Old Testament and the remainder of the New Testament? One portion at a time. More will be revealed as we get closer to June, if Jesus tarries.
