Sanctification is glory begun.
Glory is sanctification completed.

Answers to Prayer

The evidence that Jesus is God’s promised deliverer is mounting each week. How much proof does one need? Jesus is the Christ and very much God, as we are learning in Luke. He is also the final Judge over nations, and individual hearts, as we are learning in Revelation. We can’t forget the long forgotten song Vera Knight requested Pastor Rigsby to sing, “In love with the Lover of my soul.” We are blessed!

The Bible conference for the youth in the Korean congregation was blessed by God! There were many reports of salvations and new commitments to our Lord! Thank you for praying.

Mike and Berniece Cosgrove are home from Oregon. Sonny and Alice Covington are also home (until their next trip…).

Coeeta Prettyman had a good report on her niece’s (Carol) heart surgery last week. Thank you for praying.

“O God the Holy Spirit, Thy office is to teach me to draw near to Christ with a pure heart, steadfastly persuaded of his love, in the full assurance of faith. Let me never falter in this way.”

More threats from terrorists. More reactions from international political leaders. More loss of life. Pray that those making ultimate decisions for our troops will take this war seriously.

“One Night Only!”—Next Sunday

May I have your attention, please!?! Have you heard? August 14th at 6:00 PM, Bill and Joyce Holeman will be home to report on God’s work in eastern Kentucky. This is the only opportunity we will have as a church to meet with the Holemans. Come, bring a word of encouragement and rejoice in all that God is doing! Some from out of the immediate area have already expressed their desire and intent to be present. How about you?

Special Guest

September 4th, Alex Blakney will report on God’s work in Soddo, Ethiopia at 11:00 AM. This is the State where Dr. Barlow worked to see a hospital built. Alex is also looking to purchase a reliable used car.
