A view of Old City Jerusalem from the Mt of Olives. Two domes are prominent. The (gold covered) Dome of the Rock is where the Jewish Temple stood until 70 AD. The second dome is gray, near the center of the photo. This is one of the domes of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the traditional location where Jesus was crucified and buried. Unobstructed, the two domes are only separated by a couple hundred yards. Under the shadow where the “picture” of sacrifice was practiced, Jesus was “broken and spilled out” for you and me. Sunday night, May 4, 2008, we’ll show more photos from in and around Jerusalem.
