Exclusively Yours

Hello Everyone!

In light of the imminent death of the Pope, I think it necessary to remind you that there will be no Catholics in heaven! Before you shred this paper, read on. After all, that really is very intolerant. Let me try again.

In addition to Catholics, there will also be no Orthodox, nor Muslim, Hindu, or Jew in heaven! Forget the paper, maybe you should start stacking the wood for an old fashioned burning at the stake. Statements like these are labeled completely unacceptable in our pluralistic society. I??Ǩ?Ѣm sure I will get it right this time.

Including all of the above, neither will there be Nazarene, Methodist, Pentecostal, Seventh Day, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Non-denominational, Independent, nor especially any of the innumerable varieties of Baptists in heaven. Wait??Ǩ?why are you dialing Metropolitan Hospital? Your mind races, ??Ǩ?Never mind the stake, much learning has made you mad??Ǩ?bring on the straight-jacket and the white-coats!??Ǩ

When the light finally comes on about what I mean, you might be thinking, ??Ǩ?With all of these exclusions, there won??Ǩ?Ѣt be anyone in heaven!??Ǩ And, if that is so, I would begin to answer, ??Ǩ?It doesn??Ǩ?Ѣt matter who I think or don??Ǩ?Ѣt think will be in heaven. Who is included or excluded is not up to me??Ǩor you, for that matter. You know the Truth. Go ahead??Ǩ?ask, ??Ǩwho then will be in heaven?, what does the Bible say???Ǩ?Ѣ??Ǩ Acts 4:9-12.

??Ǩ?Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.??Ǩ

Give me one more chance. Third time is a charm, you know. Here goes. Heaven will not be a cosmopolitan of various religions, called by many and sundry names. According to God??Ǩ?Ѣs Word to man, heaven will be populated with only those who are saved by Jesus Christ. ??Ǩ?Saved by the blood of the Crucified One??Ǩ will be the only label worn in heaven. Only the redeemed, entirely without religion and only those in relationship with Jesus Christ, will enter into His presence eternally. Only those who by grace through faith trusted Jesus Christ, and He himself singularly, will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

There are a lot of ??Ǩ?onlys??Ǩ in that paragraph. It sounds rather exclusive, don??Ǩ?Ѣt you reckon? If I were the one speaking, you would have cause for dispute. But, who can argue with God (and win)? The answer seems to propose many additional questions.

Will the Pope be in heaven? ??Ǩ?Certainly all the good he has done for the world has earned him a place, even right close to the throne of God!??Ǩ Is entrance into heaven determined by our good outweighing our bad? What does the Bible say? Titus 3:4-8.

??Ǩ?Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.??Ǩ

Is Terri Shiavo, as the media has repeatedly conveyed, ??Ǩ?finally at peace??Ǩ? ??Ǩ?What a pitiful situation. She suffered so long and endured tremendous abuse, especially her last two weeks. Is there one more deserving than she???Ǩ Does ??Ǩ?hell on earth??Ǩ promise ??Ǩ?a slice of heaven??Ǩ? What does the Bible say? I John 5:10-13.

??Ǩ?He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.??Ǩ

What about Elizabeth Enciu? Will she be in heaven? Who? You may not know her. Born in the United States, raised in Romania (even surviving the Ceausescu years), Elizabeth returned to America. Because she ??Ǩ?changed religions,??Ǩ as some claimed, Elizabeth was shunned by those she loved the most. She did not live to see her broken-hearted prayer answered; that these would also, by grace through faith, believe that Jesus Christ alone saves sinners; having died the same day as Terri Shiavo. ??Ǩ?Does her prayer for others guarantee an eternal home in heaven???Ǩ What does the Bible say? Ephesians 2:1-10.

??Ǩ?And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins??Ǩmade alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).??Ǩ

Heaven beyond will be filled with surprise. First, at the absence of those with whom we anticipate reunion. Second, at the presence of some we never expected to see again. Heaven is prepared for those whose hope is in nothing less (or more), than Jesus??Ǩ?Ѣ blood and righteousness, exclusively.

Don??Ǩ?Ѣt be a heavenly surprise!
