Pastor Rigsby

Richard Rigsby has pastored Bell Gardens Baptist Church since 1986. The website features a collection of expository sermons Pastor Rigsby has preached. In addition to his preaching responsibilities at the church, Dr. Rigsby also teaches Hebrew and Semitic Languages at Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology. He and his wife, Donna, have been married more than forty five years. Their sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren are their joy and delight each day.

Pastor Núñez

Emilio A. Núñez, Jr. has been the Pastor at Iglesia Bautista de Bell Gardens since 1984. The website features audio recordings of Emilio’s preaching and teaching. In addition to his pastoral commitment, Emilio teaches at Biola University. Currently he is working on a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Fuller Seminary. He and his wife Dunia have been married over thirty years and have two adult sons.

Pastor Lopez

Ezer Lopez is a gifted preaching evangelist and has special skills for organizing various evangelistic and outreach events. Before coming to Iglesia Bautista de Bell Gardens, Ezer served with various organizations, including Luis Palau and Franklin Graham.

Jim Covington

Jim Covington began attending Bell Gardens Baptist before he was aware of what he was doing. At a young age Jim was saved by God’s grace when he trusted in the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Later, Jim was baptized (immersed in water), publicly declaring his faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work that was accomplished inwardly on his behalf. In time, Jim became a member of this local church in order to worship and serve Jesus Christ with others who share a kindred spirit. While attending college, Jim was asked to serve as the Youth Pastor, a role he most enjoys. After seminary, Jim’s responsibilities have increasingly expanded with the English-speaking congregation and have also included helping two cross-cultural church plants at Bell Gardens become established, including teaching English-speaking Hispanics and Koreans.
